Hi,
Recently sold up and moved to France from the UK, my wife has a job in Switzerland and pays tax in France under the Frontaliere agreement, I do not work as we have small children in local schools and they come home for lunch and do not have school on a wednesday! Hence it would be difficult at this time for me to work full-time.

We have bought a house in France but did not use all of the proceeds from our house sale in the UK, hence we have a significant sum sitting in a deposit account not really earning much interest.
My main questions are; what or where is the best place for this money for growth/income and what is the tax situation - do we pay tax at source etc etc.

I keep looking at offshore accounts and even get around to filling the application in but cannot determine the best option for tax liability. I have enquired recently at several IFA's in the UK without much response.

Any advice would be appreciated.
